Brighton Women’s Centre
BWC helps women from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues, to live happier lives. The charity is run for women by women and supports those with chronic conditions, those who have faced abuse, trauma, poverty, homelessness, or are in contact with the criminal justice system.
The Community Trust has committed to providing BWC with £3,500 per year for three years, 2024-27, as a contribution towards the cost of running the charity’s on-site nursery / crȇche –‘Toybox’. This service provides low-cost childcare for disadvantaged women and children, benefiting approximately 64 people per year - i.e. 32 children and their mothers.
