FareShare believes that “no good food should go to waste”, so the charity redistributes surplus food to other charities that turn it into meals.
The Community Trust made a three-year commitment to the charity, totalling £15,000 which supported their work in 2022-25. This sum helped FareShare support people in Brighton and Hove experiencing food poverty – including children living in poverty, isolated older people, victims of domestic violence, refugees and asylum seekers, homeless people, those fighting addiction, disabled people, ex-offenders and low-income families.
